Gaston Gazette sports writer Phil Gardner is in Winston-Salem covering the Forestview girls in the 3A Regional final at 7 p.m. at the Joel Coliseum Annex on Saturday. He's offered his assistance and will be blogging at the Shelby-Pisgah 2A boys Regional final at 4 p.m. at the Coliseum.

In Friday's 2A Eastern Regional action: West Bladen defeated South Lenoir, 65-48 and Farmville Central dropped Southern Vance, 72-58. West Bladen (28-2) and Farmville (23-3) will meet Saturday at 7 p.m. at ECU's Minges Coliseum for the Eastern championship.
