Live from West Stokes at Shelby

About 20 minutes from kickoff here at Pearley Allen Field at George Blanton Memorial Stadium.

The Black and Gold "S" is painted at midfield, so you know it's playoff time at Shelby.

Shelby is in its black tops with black pants with gold helmets. West Stokes is in its white tops with gold pants with gold helmets. The winner of this game takes on the winner of North Surry (6-5) and West Henderson (4-6).

A couple quick notes: West Stokes QB Jonathan Adams has an ankle injury and may not start at QB. However, Adams, a solid all-around athlete, may play another offensive position.

Got word that South Meck (4A) was cited for an ineligible player and had to forfeit its first round playoff contest at Central Cabarrus.

Game time
West Stokes won the toss and deferred to the second half. Shelby will get the ball to start the game.
